Strengthening Natural Nails with GUMMY BASE Gel Polish Base - step by step

How to properly strengthen natural nails using the GUMMY BASE gel polish base so that the nails remain beautifully finished and free from lifting for several weeks?

You will find out in the following step-by-step guide.

1. Disinfect your hands using SKIN DISINFECTION. From this point on, avoid touching the nails with your hands and work only with tools.

2. Lightly buff the nail surface using a FILE with 180 grit, working in one direction only – either from right to left or vice versa. Never use a grit coarser than 180 on natural nails.

3. Using the file, again with a maximum grit of 180, shape the free edge of the nail into the desired form.

4. Gently push back the cuticles using an ORANGEWOOD STICK or a PUSHER. If you are using an electric file, choose a fine BABY BIT at very low speed and gently lift the cuticles. Then carefully remove excess cuticle using SCISSORS or NIPPERS designed for cuticle work.

5. Apply NAIL PREP to the entire natural nail.

6. Prepare the GUMMY BASE in the desired shade, wipe excess product from the brush on the bottle neck, and apply a very thin layer over the entire nail, including the free edge. Make sure the gel does not touch the cuticles. Cure in a UV/LED lamp (LED approx. 30 s, UV approx. 60 s).

7. Apply a second thin layer of GUMMY BASE, which should not be cured. This layer will serve as a “slip layer” for the following, thicker strengthening layer.

8. Pick up a larger amount of GUMMY BASE on the brush so that a bead forms on the flat side of the brush. Place it approximately 5 mm away from the cuticles, gently spread the bead toward the cuticle area with light pressure, and then guide it smoothly toward the tip. The brush does not touch the nail.
The gel will self-level beautifully over the prepared slip layer. Do not forget to seal the free edge. Use a fine detail brush DRAWING No. 003 to guide the gel into any areas it has not reached. Turn the hand palm-up to allow the gel to self-level and create a natural reinforcement shape. In this position, you can further refine the structure if needed. Turn the hand back and cure in the lamp (LED 60–90 s, UV 120 s).

9. Remove the inhibition layer using LINT-FREE PADS soaked in CLEANSER.

10. If necessary, lightly refine the nail shape using a file or gently matt the surface with the finer side of the INTENSE buffer. Thoroughly remove all dust.

11. Apply the final TOP COAT in a thin, even layer over the entire nail. Ensure the gel does not flood the cuticles or sidewalls, and always seal the free edge. Cure in the lamp (LED 60–90 s, UV 120 s).

12. For regeneration and nourishment, gently massage one of the NAIL CARE products into the area around the nail bed.
